Family Dentistry
What are Family Dentistry Services?
Our family dental services focus on delivering oral health care to patients at every stage of life, often treating multiple generations within the same household. The goal is to provide ongoing support through routine checkups, cleanings, and customized treatment plans tailored to individual needs. We build long-term relationships with our patients and manage all aspects of their dental care under one roof.
Preventive Care
Our family dentistry services begin with routine checkups and cleanings designed to detect potential issues early and reduce the risk of future problems. These visits typically include:
- Dental exams and evaluations
- Digital X-rays, when needed
- Teeth cleanings
- Fluoride treatments
- Oral hygiene guidance
Children's Dentistry
Our practice welcomes children for their first dental visit, typically by the age of one or within six months of the appearance of the first tooth. Early dental visits help establish a routine and allow young patients to become familiar with the dental environment.
As children grow, our focus includes:
- Teaching proper brushing and flossing techniques
- Monitoring for signs of cavities or orthodontic concerns
- Providing fluoride treatments and sealants
- Offering age-appropriate advice for maintaining healthy teeth
For older children and teens, we also provide orthodontic care, whether that be with traditional metal braces or Invisalign treatment.
Restorative Dental Treatments for All Ages
At ABN Family Dental, we offer a range of services to restore oral health:
- White Fillings: Blend seamlessly with teeth.
- Crowns & Bridges: Restore weakened or missing teeth.
- Dental Implants: A long-lasting solution for missing teeth.
- Root Canals: Save damaged teeth and relieve pain.
- Dentures: Custom solutions for missing teeth.
Cosmetic Dentistry Services
These services are tailored to patients’ preferences and goals, and are appropriate for both teens and adults seeking to improve aesthetics. Cosmetic services at ABN Family Dental include:
- Teeth Whitening: In-office or take-home treatments to brighten your smile.
- Veneers: Porcelain or composite shells to improve chipped or discolored teeth.
- Dental Bonding: Resin to fix gaps, chips, or cracks in a single visit.
- Invisalign: Clear aligners to straighten teeth and close gaps discreetly.
Family Dentistry
We Welcome All Patients, Including Those Under the Canadian Dental Care Plan
We welcome new patients of all ages and are also accepting individuals eligible under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). If you or a family member are covered by the CDCP, we can help you understand your coverage to ensure you receive the necessary care without any unexpected costs. We will never proceed with treatment before running it by you first; however, our team is committed to patient education and ensuring you understand the benefits of necessary treatments so you can make the best decisions for your oral health.
Sedation Dentistry
Your Comfort is Our Priority, with Sedation Dentistry Services Available
Our family dental team prioritizes personalized care, which means ensuring your comfort with every visit, from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave your appointment. We focus on creating a warm and caring environment for all so that patients feel at ease. Whether it’s a child’s first dental visit or a routine appointment for an adult, every effort is made to support comfort throughout the entire experience, from check-in to treatment to follow-up care. If patients are still struggling with feeling uncomfortable or have dental anxiety, our dentist will happily walk you through the sedation options we provide – Nitrous Oxide, oral medication, and IV sedation.
